Wooden Drawers We all need more storage and little drawers are great for organizing. Here, I show how to transform plain wooden drawers with patterned origami paper. Origami paper is usually packaged already color coordinated so don't be daunted by the task of mixing patterns. |

Scratch Paper Notebook When I make sewing patterns, I end up with a lot of scraps of paper in odd shapes. To use up the scraps, I decided to make these little notebooks. These notebooks are so easy and versatile. You can make them any size and use any kind of paper. These are great little, recycled gifts you can whip up in no time. |

Illustrator Flowers One of my favorite things to do in Illustrator is make flowers from geometric shapes. It's really fast and easy. If you are learning Illustrator the best thing to do is experiment with the pen tool and all it's features. Learn how the direction lines work and how to change them. A good practice exercise is to place an image and then trace around it with the pen tool. |

Covered O-Ring Tutorial Covered O-Rings can be used for bags, belts or anything else you can imagine. When I first made these I found it difficult to get started. It is like making a crochet chain just with a ring in the middle of it all. Once you get the rhythm of the movement it goes quite quickly. Go to tutorial. |

Pleated Skirt Tutorial I used to think that pleats were difficult to do but in fact they're not hard and there are lots of different kinds. Pleats are really just a fold in the fabric. Pleats can be made by pinching the fabric wrong sides together or right sides together. They can be very thin (like pintucks) or very wide. The pleats can all face the same direction or change direction. A skirt could have just one or two carefully located pleats or be completely covered with them. |
